This has been one of the best improvements I have e to my shop!! Almost no dust now. I have a before and after video that proves this. It’s great! If I had any suggestions for improvements to this kit, I’d print singing that the house could mount better than the zip ties. But, that is NOT much of a concern for me. I love it!

The dust collection is definitely an upgrade from the factory option. It was very simple to install and the dust chute allowed plenty of options for routing the dust collection hose from the bench. The only complaint is the dust that is missed on the last few inches of the cut after the flap drops off the back of the material. It seems to need a little longer rubber flap to improve this issue. The only other slight issue is using a shop vac actually causes the flap to collapse. Using a dust collector eliminates this issue but also reduces the dust collection since I have a smaller collecter.

Indeed if it did not completely removed the dust, it reduced it to, I would say, at least 80%.
It fits perfectly, and the color is really Bosch-y; looks like it is part of the machine.

This attachment is an awesome upgrade to your compound miter saw. Dust is down by at least 90%. The stock dust collection is basically worthless. Top notch service too. When I got it and installed I was super impressed. Only issue I had was the rubber flap material was too soft and my vacuum would suck it up into the chute and was not working for me at all. I had explained my issue to them and they took care of it right away and sent me some stiffer rubber to replace it with. Works perfectly now. 100% recommend this to anyone and everyone. It’s a well designed and tested 3D print. Two thumbs way up.

Fairly straightforward to install (you weren't kidding about that one screw being tricky to get to.) Not absolutely perfect, but I think it's reduced the dust that's not going into the vacuum which is my "dust collection" system by perhaps 80-85%. This will at least reduce the number of times I need to take the vac to my benchtop.

I bought the dust collector kit that fits my 10” Bosch saw. Install was easy but connecting to dust collector (Ridgid Shopvac) was not. Adapter is 2 1/4” inside and hose is 2 1/4” outside so, of course, no go. I could get it started (barely) but wouldn’t stay connected. The end of the small hose supplied with the kit, with adapter installed, moves from nearly vertical to nearly horizontal when the saw is pulled all the way forward so a lot of movement. This requires a more positive connection than the kit supplies. I bought a plumbing flex connector with worm drive clamps. It is slightly too small for the adapter and slightly too large for the shopvac hose but with a little lube at one end and a good crank on the clamp at the other it does make a positive connection. I had to forgo the attachment to the saw cord and just let it hang loose but it can be disconnected at the saw at the quarter turn feature on the adapter. If I want to use the shopvac as a shopvac I have to remove the flex connector from the hose. The dust collector functions well but if I were going to buy this knowing what I know now, I’d take a hard pass.

I purchased this with high hopes that it would solve the dust problems with my Bosch 305mm saw but alas no. It is SLIGHTLY better than the one supplied with the saw and that is only when you are making cuts where you don’t use full width cuts. All other cuts i.e 45 deg, compound etc are quite frankly no better if not worse that the original system. Very dissappointed

Only 3 stars so far. Maybe 5 once it gets put into action. So far I can say it arrived quickly, the parts appear well made on a 3D printer. They feel durable. They are made precisely—all holes line up and the dust chute fit snugly into the Bosch saw. Now to chop some lumber.

My only problem was removing back screw on right side. was loose and kept turning but I couldnt pull it out.Thought i stripped something out. For the last 8 years , I simply let it blow sawdust around the basement. I saw this product, and knew that it would be worth the price just to see if someone had actually built a better mouse trap.

Easy instructions, however I would have appreciated a bit more clarity regarding the cable that was blocking one of the screws. I also had the zip tie points on the hose connector start breaking and I've only used the saw twice... That said, most of the print quality is amazing, and despite not having a very good vacuum at this moment, there's next to 0 dust on my table. I would recommend this product, and suggest they strengthen the thickness of the zip tie points for the vacuum connector.

It is better for collecting dust with this item then before, but problem is that is made from thick plastic and it is easy to get broken (in my case after 1 month), when you cut small items ex. Aluminium profiles, they fly and break this part, waisted money.

Design is great. You can tell significant engineering went into this collector. It functions much better than the factory collector, installs easy and has not interfered with anything yet. I wasn’t sure about durability, so I ordered a replacement chute body and hub adapter with my original order. So far so good, but I have not had any chunks of wood fly at it yet. It is a little pricy for the hardware you get, but the engineering value helps make it worth the money. Zip ties to the power cord is the least impressive part of the design. I also wish the hose and hose connectors had larger inside diameter. Current unit seems restrictive if you are using a dust collector with a 2-1/2 inch hose, but maybe there is a reason for it. Overall, I recommend this unit if you want to improve dust collection.

the two provided zip ties are not sufficient to support the dust port.

The piece that you screw to the saw snap at the thin area. I ca glued it together and installed it. It works well except the rubber dust sleeve rubs on the fence of the saw when it is in the fully closed position.

Good installation video, took only a few minutes. Dust collection is improved over the original version; I especially like that the rubber shield is held in place by screws rather than a friction fit which tends to come out if it contacts the wood.

It was easy and quick to install. It collects much more dust than the stock shute. It does not stop the turbulence around the blade so I added some door sweep brushes to the side of the blade and that helped direct more dust to the shute. Still not 100% but way more manageable. Thank you for and excellent product.

This was perfect for my new miter saw. It worked a ton better than the existing dust collection. Unfortunately my saw grabbed a chunk of wood and smashed it against the new collector which shattered into a bunch of pieces (this is not a knock at the quality of the part, i was actually impressed by its quality). Fits my Bosch 12" miter saw great! Even without my hose connected to a dust collector, the sawdust still follows 4' of hose and shoots out the other end. Sawdust is well captured and directed away up through the chute.

Works great. Nothing will collect all of the dust plume from the saw, but for sure better than stock. Works particularly well for me with thinner stock (<1.5") and when not "sliding" the saw.

I purchased the Bosch Miter Saw GCM12SD to replace the Dewalt 703 that belonged to my father. My wood working journal is in it's third year. Dust collection on the 703 was horrible as is the GCM12SD. I purchased Miter Saw Dust chute (GENII) and it was an improvement over the OEM until I added a fence for zero clearance. My short lived victory of better dust collection was obliterated in the attempt to reduce tear out. Basically the fence interferes with the dust collection to the point it is virtually same as OEM dust collection - a mess. I'd be interested to hear if you have given any thought to modification(s) with adding a fence. Be blessed!

I had the 1st gen and is worked pretty good. It broke for some reason so got a 2nd gen and it works much better. Now I need to build side panels to get the rest of the dust. Also am getting new small shop vac to go under the saw for better suction.

I purchased the first gen from ShopNation on the initial pre-order. Like others have experienced, it eventually shattered, but totally my fault. I replaced it with a competitors in part because the original design had the vacuum port off to the side that made it a be akward. While the competitors had the suction hose off the back, it was less effective overall. Travis’s new design is a huge improvement, so I’m back with no regrets.
